The Best Start Family Hubs Grant is government funding from the Department for Education to expand family support services in the Redditch and Bromsgrove Districts. This direct award supports the national 'Giving Every Child the Best Start in Life' strategy, aiming to help 75% of children achieve a Good Level of Development by 2028. The grant funds the development and expansion of local Family Hub networks in areas of higher deprivation, with a focus on early childhood support. Key activities include: expanding hub capacity; rebranding to the new 'Best Start Family Hub' system; increasing parenting support programmes; developing home learning environment resources and support; extending outreach services; growing peer support delivery; and engaging families in service co-production and development. Services will strengthen partnerships across health, public health, education and the voluntary sector, with particular emphasis on supporting families with babies and young children. Funding available: £54,400 for the period 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027.
