Bradford Depot Bus Electrification Works

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to fund and procure electrification infrastructure works at Bradford Depot to support the introduction of electric buses under the Weaver Network initiative. The depot will serve as an operating base for electric bus services delivered through the West Yorkshire bus franchising scheme. The Combined Authority will fund the project through the Joint Air Quality Unit and West Yorkshire Transport Fund. The electrification works must be completed before the appointed bus operator begins franchised services from the depot. This procurement is being conducted in compliance with the Procurement Act 2023. Suppliers should have expertise in designing and installing electrical infrastructure for bus depot facilities, including charging systems and related electrical installations required to support electric bus fleet operations.
