Chelmsford College Website Redesign and Development

Chelmsford College, a Further Education institution with approximately 3,500 students and 400 staff across two campuses, seeks a web development company to design and build a new website. The college currently operates a 15-year-old website with 202 pages (72 static and 130 dynamic pages containing job adverts, course information, and newsletters). The new website must serve multiple stakeholder groups including prospective learners aged 16-19, parents and carers, adult learners, employers, apprenticeship partners, current students, staff, and job seekers. Key requirements include: mobile-first and fully accessible design; enhanced applicant conversion from course pages to applications; comprehensive course search and filtering functionality; content management capabilities allowing the marketing team to publish and update content directly; integration with the college's internal databases and intranet systems; and compliance with information security and data protection regulations, particularly for personal data collected through the application process. The college has an in-house team to manage day-to-day website maintenance post-launch but requires external expertise to design and develop the new platform.
