    Brief

    Sealed bid opportunity to design, supply, and install a complete engineered fire detection and suppression system protecting four turbine areas (approximately 60 m² total) within an industrial Turbine Hall. The system must detect and suppress fires originating from oil leaks or spray contacting high-temperature steam pipework and hot surfaces. The contractor shall conduct site surveys and risk assessments, design the system using infrared flame detection (preferred) and water mist suppression (preferred), supply all components and equipment, install and commission the system with full integration to existing fire alarm and building management systems, perform factory and site acceptance testing, and provide certification, manuals, as-built drawings, training and warranty. All works must comply with UK fire safety legislation (Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005), BS 5839-1, BS EN 54, BS EN 15004, BS 8489, BS EN 12845, BS 7273, CDM Regulations 2015 and manufacturer requirements. The contractor must demonstrate proven experience in industrial fire protection systems for high-value assets, hold third-party certification and competent-person accreditation, and employ trained personnel using approved materials and methods. Project-specific risk assessments, method statements, lifting and access plans, and commissioning procedures required before commencing work.
