Consultancy Services for Motor Vehicle Valuation – Revenue Ireland

Revenue Ireland's National VRT (Vehicle Registration Tax) Service seeks consultancy services to provide expert valuations of motor vehicles for tax assessment purposes. The consultant will determine the Open Market Selling Price (OMSP) of vehicles—the price inclusive of taxes and duties that vehicles would reasonably fetch in Ireland on a first arm's length retail sale—and provide technical advice on motor vehicles. Key requirements include: demonstrated expertise in motor vehicle valuation in the Irish market; specialized knowledge of valuing used vehicles imported from the UK, Japan, and other jurisdictions; comprehensive expertise across all vehicle types including electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles; and the ability to conduct physical vehicle examinations at Revenue's request. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and fair vehicle registration tax assessments across diverse vehicle types and import origins.
