Site investigation contract for Dublin District Heating Project

Dublin City Council is seeking qualified contractors to conduct site investigation works for the Dublin District Heating Project (DDHP), an infrastructure initiative designed to capture and distribute waste heat from the Dublin Waste to Energy facility at Poolbeg to residential, commercial, and civic buildings across the Poolbeg, Ringsend, and Docklands areas of Dublin. The project involves installing approximately 6.6km of underground, insulated district heating pipes. The site investigation works are divided into two phases: Phase 1 (approximately 1km in the Poolbeg area) requires 15 boreholes, 4 slit trenches, and 4 trial pits; Phase 2 (approximately 5.6km extending through Ringsend and North Docklands) requires 12 boreholes, 22 slit trenches, and 4 trial pits. These investigations will assess ground conditions along the proposed route to inform detailed design and engineering.
