GP and Nurse Services for Mental Health Inpatient Units

Intention to award notice for provision of general practitioner and specialist nurse services at Soss Moss Hospital and Greenways Unit. This contract delivers essential physical healthcare support to inpatient service users with serious mental illness or learning disabilities, who typically experience higher rates of co-morbid physical health conditions and reduced life expectancy. The service provides ongoing physical health monitoring, screening, and access to GP care for patients who may be admitted from outside the local area and therefore unregistered with community GPs. Better Health Manchester Ltd has been identified as the intended provider based on their proven experience delivering similar services to NHS Mental Health Trusts and their expertise working with this vulnerable patient population across three wards.
