    Brief

Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole (BCP) Council invites voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector providers to a virtual Market Engagement Event on Tuesday 4th August 2026, 11:30am–12:30pm via Microsoft Teams. This pre-procurement engagement session will outline the Council's commissioning intentions for a new Community Wellbeing Partnership Service, launching in September 2026. The service aims to strengthen collaboration between statutory services and the VCSE sector while improving residents' access to community-based support and wellbeing. The Council is developing a service built around three key functions: (1) Professional Access to Community Support - providing health, social care and housing professionals with access to community knowledge, local expertise, and information about available support through a single point of contact; (2) Individual Wellbeing Support - offering flexible, practical assistance including grants, signposting, and rapid responses to low-level needs to help people remain safe and independent, particularly supporting hospital discharge; and (3) Community Intelligence and Partnerships - acting as a bridge between communities, VCSE organisations and statutory partners to identify gaps in provision and improve understanding of local needs. The Council seeks a service that improves access to community support, helps people remain independent and connected, supports timely hospital discharge, reduces time professionals spend identifying support, strengthens statutory and VCSE relationships, and demonstrates positive outcomes and value for money. Attendance at this market engagement event does not affect future procurement eligibility or confer competitive advantage. To register, contact Eliza Atyeo, Senior Commissioning Officer for Prevention and Wellbeing, at eliza.atyeo@bcpcouncil.gov.uk by Monday 3rd August 2026, providing your full name, email address, and organisation name.
