    Brief

The Office of Environmental Protection (OEP) is seeking research support for Phase 1 of a project to evaluate whether nature recovery policies and programmes deliver maximum benefits for people and places while achieving environmental goals. The research will help the OEP assess whether nature recovery initiatives improve public health, wellbeing, access to nature, and climate resilience, and whether these benefits reach the communities and areas that need them most. Phase 1 work includes: reviewing existing evidence and policy, collecting and evaluating relevant data, mapping areas with unmet needs, and identifying opportunities, barriers and trade-offs. This initial phase will determine the scope and focus of any subsequent detailed analysis. Suppliers should have expertise in environmental policy evaluation, data analysis, and community impact assessment.
