    Brief

Trafford Council is seeking an experienced operator to manage and run the Longbarn Community Hub, a heritage building located in Longford Park (Trafford's largest public park). The Longbarn is currently undergoing restoration as part of a £6 million investment programme supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The successful operator will manage flexible community spaces for volunteering, learning, arts and culture, health and wellbeing activities, and community participation. Key responsibilities include: operating the hub to meet lease terms and agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); hiring out space to other organisations; maintaining the building to appropriate standards; completing all repairs, maintenance, and statutory compliance for internal and external areas; and acting as an information hub to enhance visitor experience. The lease will be offered for a 10-year term, subject to negotiation. The operator should demonstrate experience in community facility management and commitment to sustainable practices, as the building will feature sensitive heritage restoration and sustainable retrofit. This is a soft market testing exercise with no commitment from interested organisations or the Council at this stage.
