    Brief

    University of Limerick seeks to procure a Coastal and Offshore Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV) exceeding 6.5 metres in length overall. The vehicle will support marine science research, hydrographic surveys, geophysical surveys, offshore wind site assessments, and climate and habitat monitoring activities conducted by the Centre for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (CRIS). Required capabilities include: fully autonomous and remotely piloted operation suitable for coastal and offshore environments, advanced station-keeping functionality, an integrated moonpool system for subsea instrumentation deployment and recovery, a towing winch for towed-body operations, and over-the-horizon communications and control systems. The platform must be a long-endurance, uncrewed survey vessel capable of sustained operations in challenging marine conditions.
