Ecological Mitigation and Habitat Works at Port of Port Talbot

Associated British Ports is seeking a contractor to deliver comprehensive Ecological Mitigation Works across multiple sites at and around Port Talbot. This utilities works contract encompasses habitat preparation, wildlife protection, and species management activities. Key deliverables include: groundworks and vegetation management (clearance, reed reduction, scrub removal, topsoil stripping); wildlife protection infrastructure (reptile and amphibian fencing installation, maintenance, and removal); habitat construction (limestone bunds, wet scrapes, egg heaps, hibernacula); soil handling (relocation and translocation of Orobanche Picridis seed and soil); invasive species control and management; and ongoing ecological supervision, monitoring, and compliance checks. This is a multi-site project requiring expertise in ecological practices, habitat construction, and environmental compliance. Contractors should demonstrate experience in wildlife management, habitat creation, and ecological mitigation across varied terrain.
