Financial Audit and Assurance Services - Contract Value Increase

This is a modification notice for Financial Audit and Assurance Services contracts (reference GEN_20_22) awarded to existing contractors. The modification increases the overall contract value by £9.6 million and extends the existing arrangements to ensure continuity of audit and assurance services for the National Audit Office (NAO). These contracts support the NAO's statutory audit responsibilities for UK Government organisations within the Centre Group, who play a crucial role in debt and cash management. The nature, scope and objectives of the contracts remain unchanged. The modification was necessary because additional audit and assurance services are required from the original contractors to maintain continuity of statutory audit delivery. Changing contractors at this stage would cause significant inconvenience, create duplication of costs, and disrupt audit planning, delivery and quality assurance processes. The contract value increase remains below 50% of the original contract value.
