    Brief

Trinity College Dublin's Department of Mechanical, Manufacturing and Biomedical Engineering is seeking a comprehensive Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Digital Image Correlation (DIC) integrated measurement system. The system must include: high-energy pulsed laser, synchronized high-resolution cameras, precision timing and control units, and integrated acquisition and analysis software. Key requirements include high-accuracy, time-resolved measurements of velocity fields, particle motion, and surface deformation in both 2D and 3D formats. The system must handle complex flow regimes, multiphase flows, and structural behavior analysis. Suppliers should note that flexibility for future upgrades is essential, with potential for temperature and scalar concentration measurement capabilities. The equipment must demonstrate proven reliability, accuracy, and repeatability suitable for intensive research applications. The successful supplier will provide full installation, calibration, commissioning, comprehensive user training, detailed documentation, and ongoing technical support. The system must integrate seamlessly with existing laboratory infrastructure to enhance the Department's research capabilities.
