Supported Accommodation and Housing Support Service for Single Homeless People - Clare House, Huddersfield

Kirklees Council is seeking a service provider to deliver housing-related support services at Clare House, a 22-unit supported accommodation facility in Huddersfield for single homeless people, rough sleepers, and those at risk of rough sleeping. The provider will offer 24-hour staffed services in a purpose-built setting with en-suite accommodation arranged in four-unit clusters, communal facilities, training spaces, and specialist amenities including a medical room, IT suite, workshop, and laundry facilities. Key responsibilities include providing tailored support to clients with complex and multiple needs to help them develop skills for independent living, managing the property through a landlord agreement (tenancy management, rent collection, repairs), and ensuring the facility operates as a Homeless Place of Change. Two units will function as emergency 'crash pads' for crisis referrals, with wheelchair accessibility and external agency access to communal facilities for broader homelessness prevention. The contract runs from 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2031 (with potential extension to 2036) and is valued at approximately £366,498 annually plus VAT.
