Statutory Lift and Plant Equipment Inspection Services

The Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service (SCTS) is procuring a qualified contractor to conduct statutory inspections, testing, and certification of lift and plant equipment across its estate. The contractor must ensure full compliance with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER), the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER), the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, and relevant British Standards. Key deliverables include thorough examinations of all equipment, identification and documentation of defects, prioritised remedial recommendations, and timely provision of all compliance certificates and reports. The successful contractor must be a competent, fully qualified person with appropriate certifications and must conduct all inspections and testing safely with minimal disruption to court and tribunal operations. Services will cover the entire SCTS estate and must be scheduled and completed according to regulatory inspection intervals.
