Demolition Services for Lower Thames Crossing Project

Skanska is looking for a contractor to provide demolition services for the existing Bayliss compound as part of the Kent Roads Package of the Lower Thames Crossing Project. This work includes the demolition of two buildings constructed after 2000, minor steel frames, and sheds, as well as the removal of existing stockpiled materials and waste. The Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) is a new road project aimed at improving connectivity between Essex and Kent through a tunnel under the River Thames. The project aims to create a positive impact on local communities and the environment by focusing on low-carbon construction and leaving a skills legacy. To be considered for this opportunity, suppliers must demonstrate a commitment to the following: - Supporting local workforce development by hiring locally and providing training to enable career progression. - Minimizing carbon emissions by adopting sustainable practices, including eliminating diesel use on site and promoting alternative fuels. - Creating opportunities for young people through apprenticeships and STEM engagement initiatives. All workers involved in the demolition must hold relevant qualifications and competency cards, such as CSCS and a Highway Passport.
