Flood Control Measures for Sewage Treatment Plant

This project involves implementing flood control measures to prevent future flooding at the Episkopi Station Sewage Treatment Plant, located in the Happy Valley area of Cyprus. The scope of work includes: 1. Constructing a 140-meter long retaining wall, with varying heights of 1.50 meters and 2.00 meters, and a foundation for erosion protection. 2. Building a check dam upstream of the road culvert using gabions to act as a physical barrier, located about 60 meters upstream of the main road. 3. Installing a new culvert through the horse stables to prevent flooding, with a diameter of 0.80 meters and a length of 50 meters. Access to the work areas is restricted; only individuals with valid security passes (Greek Cypriots, Turkish Cypriots, or UK nationals) can enter, and they will be escorted on-site. Mobile phones and electronic devices are prohibited during the works. Key tender dates are as follows: Expression of Interest: January 19, 2026; Return of Expression of Interest: February 4, 2026; Invitation to Tender: February 9, 2026; Tender Return Date: March 9, 2026; Contract Award: May 25, 2026; Commencement of Work: June 10, 2026; Completion of Work: October 2, 2026. The project budget is €215,000.
