    Brief

Dorset Police is seeking a supplier to provide Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) services for high-risk victims of domestic abuse throughout Dorset. This service will primarily support adults but will also extend assistance to children and young people in collaboration with other agencies. The chosen contractor will work closely with relevant services and statutory agencies to ensure a comprehensive response to domestic abuse, which includes identifying, referring, and triaging victims. The service will support victims and their families, participate in the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC), and assist in the High-Risk Domestic Abuse (HRDA) process, as well as provide post-intervention support for recovery. Additionally, the service will engage with local initiatives addressing domestic abuse perpetrators, such as the High Harm Perpetrator Panel, to enhance victim safety and reduce the risk of future abuse. The contractor will also implement the Family Court Pathfinder Programme as outlined in the service specifications. The Commissioner is looking for an organization that can effectively deliver this contract and collaborate as a key partner to improve and innovate future domestic abuse strategies.
