The Gauntlet Park contract is valued at £140,000-£150,000 excluding VAT (£168,000-£180,000 including VAT), with a contract start date of 1 October 2026 and anticipated practical completion by 31 December 2027. This is part of a wider £1 million pipeline (£1.2 million including VAT) covering multiple play park refurbishments across the borough over three years, including Nutwick Road Play Area, Southwood Road, Park Parade (Leigh Park High Street), Havant Play Area, and Longwood Avenue. The council reserves the right to award future play park contracts directly to the winning bidder under the Procurement Act 2023, though competitive tendering may be required if additional specialist skills or capacity are needed.
