Technical Support for Doman Road Waste Transfer Site

Surrey County Council (SCC) is seeking a qualified consultant to provide technical support for the redevelopment of the Doman Road Waste Transfer Site (WTS) in Surrey Heath. This project is part of a strategic plan to enhance waste management capacity in the region, as 170,000 tonnes of waste transfer capacity is at risk of being lost by 2029. The Doman Road site, currently operated by Surrey Heath Borough Council (SHBC) and its contractor Amey, is set to be redeveloped to increase its operational capacity from 13,500 tonnes to 55,000 tonnes per year. The consultant will be responsible for developing the project scope, preparing planning submissions, facilitating permit transfer applications, and creating technical documents for the construction procurement process. This opportunity is crucial for ensuring effective waste management in Surrey, as the site will handle waste from both Surrey Heath and surrounding areas.
