Upland Farm Monitoring and Demonstration Programme Services

Wild Atlantic Nature LIFE IP is seeking a qualified service provider to deliver a one-year Upland Monitoring and Demonstration Pilot Programme. This initiative will assess and demonstrate sustainable farming practices on upland farms across Ireland and Northern Ireland. The programme is funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) and supported by the Shared Island Initiative through the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS). Key responsibilities include: conducting monitoring activities on participating upland farms, delivering demonstrations of good practice to farmers, facilitating knowledge transfer between farms, and engaging closely with agriculture stakeholders in Northern Ireland to meet Shared Island Initiative objectives. Subject to progress, the initial one-year pilot may be expanded to a three-year programme. This project serves as a proof of concept to inform the development and scaling of a longer-term sustainable upland farming initiative. Applicants should have demonstrated expertise in upland agriculture, farm monitoring methodologies, and farmer engagement.
