This procurement opportunity invites qualified contractors to provide planned preventative maintenance and testing services for thermostatic mixing valves, thermostatic taps, shower mixers, and associated components across Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and Cheltenham General Hospital. Services include six-monthly maintenance cycles alternating between full strip-down, cleaning, and disinfection (first cycle) and fail-safe testing (second cycle). The contractor must maintain accurate records, provide detailed reporting, and attend contract review meetings. Work is primarily scheduled during standard weekday hours (08:00-16:00 at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital; 07:30-15:30 at Cheltenham General Hospital), with approximately 80% of assets accessible midweek. Access to restricted areas such as theatres and the IGIS Centre may require Saturday attendance (08:00-16:00), with up to six consecutive Saturdays per six-month period needed if only one technician is deployed per site. The contractor must coordinate all visits with the on-site Operational Estates Team, notify ward and departmental staff in advance, complete assigned areas before moving to new locations, and document any access issues. If access is denied on more than three consecutive visits, the contractor must immediately notify the Operational Estates Team to enable alternative arrangements. This service supports water safety management, reduces scalding risk, prevents harmful pathogen development, and ensures compliant water services across the hospital estate.
