Youth Employment Programme for Long-Term Unemployed

Fedcap is seeking to deliver the National Jobs Guarantee Scheme, a government-funded employment programme administered by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). This initiative targets young people aged 18-24 who have been unemployed and receiving Universal Credit for 18 months or more. The programme guarantees each eligible participant a fully funded six-month paid job (up to 25 hours per week at minimum wage) combined with personalised support to enable success and career progression. As a Delivery Partner, your organisation will adopt an employment-first approach, rapidly placing participants into real jobs with local employers rather than providing extended pre-employment training. You will be responsible for identifying and engaging suitable employers, matching participants based on their skills and interests, and providing wraparound support throughout the placement period. This is an opportunity to help break cycles of long-term youth unemployment while building relationships with local businesses.
