    Brief

Billing Parish Council is seeking tenders from qualified and experienced contractors to design, manufacture, and deliver two custom timber buildings for Bernard Weston Pavilion in Northampton. The project includes: (1) an insulated garden workshop (6m x 4m) for year-round use with double glazing, electrical installation, and security features; and (2) a machinery storage building (8m x 4.5m) with heavy-duty flooring for landscaping equipment. Both buildings must use C24 grade timber framing, treated external timber (UC3B standard), Western Red Cedar or composite cladding, and EPDM roofing with 10-year guarantee. The contractor must attend a mandatory site visit, provide detailed designs, manufacture in kit form, arrange delivery, and supply all drawings, certifications, and warranties. Ground screw foundations are preferred where feasible; otherwise, the council will provide a concrete slab. All work must comply with relevant British Standards (BS 8417, BS 7671, Building Regulations Part P). Tenders must include drawings, itemised pricing, VAT confirmation, programme timeline, and warranty details, submitted by email to greenspacemanager@billing-pc.gov.uk by noon on Friday 12th June 2026 with the subject line 'Tender Submission - GSM Workshop & Machinery Storage Project'. Contact Paul Marks (Green Space Manager) on 07725 856784 for further information.
