Fleet Services Depot - Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Services

Wolverhampton City Council is looking to hire Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (M&E) Building Service Engineers for the design stages 4 to 7 of the new Fleet Services Depot, offices, and parking area. The selected Consultant should have experience in creating Design and Build drawings and specifications. This project involves moving the Fleet Services and other Council operations from various locations to the Hickman Avenue site. The Council will demolish the existing facilities, and a contractor will construct a new building along with the necessary parking. The new facility will be designed to accommodate future electric vehicle needs for the electric fleet. An outline planning application based on RIBA Stage 3 was submitted in May 2025 and is currently awaiting validation. The Design Team will need to address any reserved matters and fulfill conditions as part of the project. It is important to note that there was no M&E input during stages 0-3, and the design has been developed without coordination; therefore, any validation by the Consultant must be included in their fee.
