Funeral Services for Anatomical Donor Bodies

The University seeks qualified suppliers to provide funeral services for human bodies donated for medical education. The School of Life Sciences uses donor bodies to teach anatomy to medical students, trainee doctors, and surgeons. The selected supplier will be responsible for: collecting donor bodies and delivering them to Queen's Medical Centre (QMC), providing appropriate coffins, transporting remains from QMC to a final resting place, and managing all associated arrangements. The supplier must handle all donor remains with dignity, respect, and reverence, honoring the wishes of the deceased and their families. This is a specialized service requiring demonstrated experience with anatomical donations and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care throughout the process. The supplier will work closely with the University to ensure that treatment of donors reflects the trust placed in the institution by donor families and supports the educational mission for students.
