Design Mental Health Early Intervention and Prevention Strategy for Essex

Essex County Council is seeking a partner organisation to lead a collaborative design process that identifies priority actions for early intervention and prevention in mental health and emotional wellbeing. Working with Public Health, Adult Social Care, Children & Families, and the Essex Integrated Care Board, the successful organisation will facilitate a structured, co-produced process involving system partners to develop actionable recommendations across all life stages. This work supports the Essex, Southend and Thurrock Mental Health Strategy (2023) prevention and early intervention pillar. The system has historically prioritized acute and crisis services; this commission focuses on shifting to proactive prevention approaches. The selected organisation will guide stakeholder engagement, synthesize findings, and produce clear recommendations to drive collaborative prevention and early intervention initiatives across the health and social care system.
