    Brief

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is seeking a delivery partner for a 3-year national project (1 April 2027 to 31 March 2030) to support the development and resilience of Lived Experience Recovery Organisations (LEROs) and local authorities. The successful provider will deliver peer-led mentoring, specialist learning opportunities, reusable resources, and targeted support to help LEROs and recovery communities establish and sustain themselves. This project builds on previous capacity-building work and addresses demonstrated needs including: practical peer-led support and bespoke learning for LERO leaders; mentoring from experienced practitioners; ongoing guidance on governance, leadership, financial management, fundraising and workforce development; and support for local authorities to create enabling conditions for independent, peer-led recovery initiatives. The contract includes developing a tailored offer for local authority commissioners through both universal support services and targeted interventions that respond to local context, readiness and specific needs. This opportunity is ideal for organisations experienced in peer-led recovery support, capacity building, and partnership development with local authorities.
