Peer Support and Lived Experience Leadership Programme for Adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Neurodiversity

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham seeks an innovative provider or partnership to deliver a borough-wide Peer Support and Lived Experience Leadership Programme for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and neurodiversity, including their carers. This is the first phase of a prevention and inclusion initiative aimed at strengthening community-based support and embedding lived experience leadership across local services. The provider must design and deliver a programme that: builds sustainable peer support networks tailored to specific group needs; establishes meaningful co-production and lived experience leadership structures; improves inclusion and accessibility across community and public-facing services; and supports early intervention to reduce health inequalities and prevent escalation to statutory services. The successful provider will shape future service development and expansion into a broader borough-wide prevention and navigation offer. This is an opportunity to lead innovation in community-based support while influencing the direction of local health and social care services.
