    Brief

The Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) is procuring an in-hospital youth work service across five London hospital Accident and Emergency (A&E) departments. This service will employ youth workers embedded within A&E departments at Croydon University Hospital, University Hospital Lewisham, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Newham University Hospital, and The Whittington Hospital. Youth workers will identify and engage with young people aged 11-25 presenting with violence-related injuries or who are suspected to be affected by violence or at risk of exploitation. The service will provide immediate support and signposting to help young people transition into longer-term non-hospital-based services, including statutory and community-based provisions that address employment, education, housing, mental health, and other support needs. Tenders must be submitted to VRUProcurement@london.gov.uk by 12:00 noon on 9th May 2023. Clarification questions must be submitted by 12:00 noon on 27th April 2023 using the subject line 'London A&E In-Hospital Youth Work Service'.
