Vulnerability Assessments for International Protection Applicants in Ireland

The International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) seeks qualified providers to conduct vulnerability assessments for all International Protection applicants upon their arrival in Ireland. Under the 2026 International Protection Act, assessments must identify whether applicants are vulnerable, victims of torture, experiencing inhuman or degrading treatment, or have special reception needs. Assessments will determine the nature of any special reception needs and required procedural guarantees.
