Stray Dog Kennelling Services Contract

Caerphilly County Borough Council is seeking a qualified provider to deliver stray dog kennelling services. The service will provide reception, accommodation, care, and welfare for stray dogs collected by or handed to the Council under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and related legislation. Service Requirements: - Secure and appropriate kennelling facilities for an estimated 70-130 stray dogs annually - Capacity to accommodate peak demand periods - Accept dogs from Council officers and members of the public - Provide daily care and welfare during the statutory retention period - Maintain appropriate records - Facilitate transfer of unclaimed dogs to the Council's nominated rehoming partner after the statutory holding period Contract Terms: - Initial period: 3 years - Optional extension: up to 24 months - Procurement conducted under the Open Procedure in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023 Evaluation Process: - Stage One: Conditions of Participation using the Welsh Procurement Specific Questionnaire (WPSQ) - Stage Two: Award Criteria evaluation based on Price (100%) Interested suppliers should refer to the full procurement documents for complete specification and service requirements.
