Quantity Surveyor Needed for Manchester Cathedral Project

Manchester Cathedral is looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor (QS) or Cost Consultant to assist with its project funded in part by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF). This role will span the Development Stage, which runs until March 2027 and includes preparing the NLHF Round 2 submission, and, if funding is secured, the Delivery Stage. The selected Quantity Surveyor will deliver comprehensive cost consultancy services throughout the project's development. This includes tasks such as cost planning, value engineering, risk management, procurement advice, cash flow forecasting, preparing tender documents, and providing ongoing support to the project manager and design team. The appointment will be based on the RIBA Professional Services Contract 2020 for Quantity Surveyor Services or an equivalent contract. The Delivery Stage is expected to last approximately 36 months and will only commence if the NLHF Round 2 funding is approved. Applicants must submit separate fee proposals for both the Development Stage and the conditional Delivery Stage during the tender process. This procurement process consists of two stages: • Stage 1 - Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ): Evaluation of technical capacity, overall approach, and references as outlined in the PQQ. • Stage 2 - Invitation to Tender (ITT): Shortlisted candidates will submit complete tenders, including their fee proposals.
