    Brief

Provision of high spectroscopic quality CeBr3 scintillation crystals for radiation detection applications. The University of York's Nuclear Physics Group is seeking these crystals for the HYPATIA (HYbrid Photon detector Array To Investigate Atomic nuclei) collaboration, an upgrade to the DALI2+ gamma-ray spectrometer at the RIBF facility in RIKEN, Japan. The HYPATIA array will comprise approximately one thousand scintillation crystals (CeBr3 and GaGG(HR)) designed for in-beam gamma-ray experiments using both slowed-down and fast rare-isotope beams. Suppliers should be prepared to deliver crystals meeting rigorous spectroscopic quality standards suitable for advanced nuclear physics research applications.
