Fire Safety Upgrades for Ivybridge Town Hall and The Watermark

This tender invites qualified contractors to undertake comprehensive fire safety compartmentation and remedial works at Ivybridge Town Hall and The Watermark in Devon. The project includes installation of fire compartmentation with minimum 30-minute fire resistance, fire-stopping of all service penetrations, replacement of false ceilings with fire-rated materials on the first floor, remedial work on fire doors at both locations (including intumescent strips, smoke seals, closers, and thresholds), and electrical fixture reinstatement with fire-rated covers. All works must be completed in a live office environment while maintaining continuous escape routes and safety. The secondary escape stairway (Area 3) must remain fully operational throughout, requiring specialized scaffolding access and on-site coordination. Contractors must provide separate point pricing for removal and reinstatement of 10 ceiling lights and 10 smoke detectors with fire-rated covers. A site visit to verify the scope of works is required before final commitment. All work must comply with current UK fire safety regulations and industry best practice.
