Walsall Black Country Walking, Wheeling and Cycling Routes Design Development

City of Wolverhampton Council, on behalf of Black Country Transport and Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council, is seeking a consultancy to support the design development of two walking, wheeling and cycling routes in Walsall. These routes are part of a broader Black Country active travel infrastructure programme aimed at improving connectivity, increasing cycling participation, and supporting accessibility and health benefits. The successful consultant will be responsible for producing preliminary designs, commissioning and managing surveys (such as topographical and environmental assessments), and leading stakeholder engagement activities. The work will be delivered through the Midlands Highway Alliance PSP4 Lot 1 Framework. Ideal candidates should have experience in active travel infrastructure design, multi-modal transportation planning, survey coordination, and community consultation.
