Retaining Wall Construction at M6 Lune Gorge

Kier Transportation is seeking a subcontractor to construct a Central Reserve Retaining Wall at Lune Gorge, specifically for the Tebay, Jeffery's, and Borrowbeck Structures. This project involves installing a Combi-Wall (Tubular/Sheet piles) box structure in the Central Reserve, located directly behind the existing bridge abutments. This structure is essential for retaining the adjacent motorway carriageway during the replacement of the abutments. The project may require multiple trades, including General Civils, Piling, Coring, FRC, and Steelwork, to complete the work effectively. We will apply the Build UK Common Assessment Criteria (CAS) to ensure that all bidders meet a consistent standard of business competence.
