Public and Patient Panel Services for the General Dental Council

The General Dental Council (GDC) is seeking a supplier to establish and manage a Public and Patient Panel and provide associated services. This is the fourth iteration of the panel, which plays a critical role in helping the GDC understand public experiences, perceptions, and views about dental services across the UK. The contract has two components: a fixed-price element covering panel setup and ongoing management, and a call-off element for specific activities with panel members. The estimated annual value is up to £72,000 inclusive of VAT, with an initial contract term of two years and the option to renew annually for up to two additional years. The panel will provide independent facilitation to gather public voices and insights that inform GDC regulatory activities, enhance transparency, and ensure the regulator remains responsive to stakeholders. It will also help the GDC understand external factors affecting the dental sector and public views on access to and quality of dental care.
