Outsourced Internal Audit Services for Arts University Bournemouth

Arts University Bournemouth is seeking a qualified and independent internal audit provider to deliver comprehensive outsourced internal audit services. The provider will serve as the University's internal audit function, delivering independent assurance to the Board of Governors and Audit & Risk Committee on governance, risk management, internal controls, and value-for-money arrangements. Key responsibilities include: • Appointing a named Head of Internal Audit • Developing risk-based internal audit strategy and annual plans • Conducting risk-based internal audit reviews • Reporting to governance committees as required • Monitoring and following up on management actions • Providing annual Head of Internal Audit Opinion • Undertaking special investigations and advisory work where independence is maintained • Coordinating with external auditors and other assurance providers Contract Details: Start date: 1 August 2027 Initial term: 3 years Extension options: Up to 2 additional 12-month periods Procurement Process: This opportunity uses a two-stage Competitive Flexible Procedure.
