Repair and Improve Footpath 33 in Finchampstead

Finchampstead Parish Council is seeking a contractor to repair and improve Footpath 33, which runs south-west from Longwater Lane and forms part of the popular Blackwater Valley Trail. The footpath currently becomes muddy and waterlogged during winter months, making it difficult for users with limited mobility. The works involve upgrading the section from Longwater Lane to the spur at Footpath 29 by constructing a new durable surface using hardcore and gravel, implementing drainage improvements, and carrying out associated works to enhance resilience and accessibility. The path will be built to bridleway standards for long-term durability, although it will retain its legal status as a public footpath. The successful contractor must supply all labour, plant, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the works safely and in accordance with the agreed specification.
