Mental health and wellbeing support services for children and young people

OTR seeks to deliver a comprehensive emotional wellbeing service for children and young people across Bath and North East Somerset. The service includes school-based counselling in 14 secondary schools, community counselling in Keynsham and Midsomer Norton, and listening support for young adults aged 18-25. Services address anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, bereavement, stress and self-esteem issues through structured counselling and early-intervention listening sessions. The provider must maintain strong connections with schools, CAMHS, primary care and community services. A dedicated Safeguarding Officer must oversee service delivery, provide brief interventions for at-risk young people, deliver staff training, ensure quality assurance, and maintain trauma-informed, safe practices aligned with statutory safeguarding requirements. The service should improve resilience, wellbeing and clinical outcomes for beneficiaries.
