Water Treatment and Legionella Control Services at University of Huddersfield

The University of Huddersfield is seeking a qualified water treatment and legionella management service provider. The successful contractor will be responsible for comprehensive water system maintenance and monitoring to ensure compliance with legionella safety standards and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include: - Conducting legionella risk assessments - Monthly water temperature monitoring across the university's water system - Quarterly cleaning and disinfection of shower heads - Annual maintenance, cleaning and disinfection of thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs) with fail-safe testing - Regular cleaning and disinfection of taps and cold water storage tanks - Descaling and cleaning of distribution pipework - Water sampling and analysis performed by a UKAS accredited laboratory - Comprehensive written reports and certification of all work completed The contractor must demonstrate expertise in legionella prevention, water treatment protocols, and regulatory compliance. All work will follow the University's established maintenance schedule.
