Grounds Maintenance Services Tender for Three Northamptonshire Towns

Rushden Town Council is seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive grounds maintenance services for Rushden, Higham Ferrers, and Irthlingborough Town Councils. This is a 5-year contract (with optional 2-year extension) commencing 1 November 2026, with an estimated value of £3,000,000 to £4,000,000. Services include grass cutting, hedge and shrub maintenance, weed control, litter collection, sports pitch maintenance, cemetery grounds care, grave digging, basic tree works, and seasonal tasks across parks, amenity areas, cemeteries, and public spaces in all three towns. Tenderers must demonstrate relevant experience, provide health and safety documentation, environmental policies, and insurance certificates (Public Liability £10m; Employers' Liability £5m). The procurement follows an open procedure under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Evaluation will be based 60% on quality (service delivery methodology, environmental approach, responsiveness, innovation, and social value) and 40% on price.
