Occupational Health and Staff Wellbeing Services

This is an opportunity to deliver integrated occupational health and employee wellbeing services for an NHS Trust. The service supports staff through organizational change, enables high performance, and improves operational efficiency by helping managers manage attendance proactively. Key responsibilities include: developing and implementing a comprehensive health and wellbeing framework; managing employee referrals; delivering clinical interventions; providing return-to-work advice; and managing blood borne virus exposures. The service must be delivered by a multidisciplinary team of health professionals, led by a Head of Occupational Health and Workforce Wellbeing reporting to the Deputy Chief People Officer. The successful provider will support the NHS Growing Occupational Health and Wellbeing Together Strategy 2023-2028, the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan, and place-based preventative workforce wellbeing. The Trust requires SEQOHS accreditation (held since 2016, reaccredited February 2026), compliance with the NHS Elements of Health & Wellbeing Framework, Department of Health vaccination guidelines, and NICE guidelines. This role is critical for a Segment 3 Trust in a financially challenged integrated care system seeking recovery and improvement.
