Footpath Upgrade Project

Hedge End Town Council (HETC) is seeking tenders for the upgrade and resurfacing of a permissive footpath within the Wildern Local Nature Reserve in Hedge End. The project involves constructing a durable, all-weather footpath made of self-binding gravel, designed to blend with the ecological environment of the reserve. Key tasks include careful management of surface tree roots and, if necessary, installing raised walkways to protect sensitive habitats and ensure accessibility for all users. **Tender Process:** - HETC is looking to hire a Principal Contractor to supply and install approximately 350 meters of woodland path, boardwalk, and related drainage systems. - Interested suppliers must submit a fixed price lump sum tender using the provided Form of Tender. - Tenders should be sent in a sealed envelope without company identification, marked "TENDER FOR Footpath Upgrade in Wildern Local Nature Reserve," to the Town Clerk at 2000 Centre, St John's Road, Hedge End, Southampton, SO30 4AF, or via email to townclerk@hedgeendtc.gov.uk.
