Construction of a New SEMH School in Luton

Luton Council is seeking suppliers for the construction of a new Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) school on Bishopscote Road. This project will be executed in two phases. Initially, the selected provider will receive details about the budget and design, allowing them to conduct due diligence to confirm the project's feasibility and affordability. Once confirmed, an official contract will be awarded. The new school will accommodate up to 112 students across 14 core classrooms, along with specialized facilities such as support rooms, observation rooms, pastoral support areas, and outdoor play spaces. The outdoor facilities will include a multi-use games area (MUGA), a 5-a-side astroturf pitch, playing fields, and picnic areas with raised planters. Additionally, the site will feature a dedicated drop-off zone for parents, a secure minibus drop-off area, and a staff car park. This project aims to create a supportive and engaging environment for students with SEMH needs.
