Asbestos Removal and Remediation Services

Southampton City Council is seeking tenders from qualified suppliers for asbestos removal and remediation services. This procurement follows the Procurement Act 2023 and uses the Open Procedure. Interested suppliers will receive a 'Tender Pack' that includes detailed information on the procurement process, specifications, contract form, timetable, criteria for participation and award, and submission instructions. Non-compliance with procedural requirements may lead to exclusion from the procurement process at the Council's discretion. The contractor will be responsible for working with, encapsulating, and removing all types of asbestos-containing materials, including disposal at a licensed facility, from both domestic and non-domestic properties. The contractor will also need to repair surfaces where asbestos materials have been removed, preparing them for reinstatement by others. The contract term is from January 2026 to January 4, 2031, with options for a 3-year extension and a further 2-year extension, totaling a maximum of 10 years at the Council's discretion.
