Structural Testing Services for Street Lighting Columns

Rotherham Borough Council is seeking structural testing services to evaluate whether existing street lighting columns can safely support additional attachments such as hanging baskets, Christmas decorations, CCTV cameras, ANPR cameras, and VAS signs. The testing will ensure that columns meet safety standards and maintain asset integrity without compromising public safety or statutory compliance. The contract requires a minimum of 700 tests, with provision for additional testing of further columns if required. The agreement has a maximum term of 36 months and a spending cap of £100,000, whichever limit is reached first. Additional works beyond the initial 700 tests will be called off individually and charged at the agreed contract rates.
