Fire Safety Remediation Works at Plantation Primary School

Knowsley Council is seeking a passive fire protection specialist to conduct remedial works at Plantation Primary School based on findings from an independent fire inspection report. The contractor will be responsible for all internal passive fire protection improvements, including: fire stopping in walls, ceilings, and building risers (mechanical, electrical, water, gas, and communications); installation and repair of structural steel protection; installation of fire barriers and cavity barriers; removal and replacement of plasterboard partitions as needed; replacement of unsatisfactory installations with compliant products; full replacement of fire doorsets with new leaves, frames, glazing, seals, ironmongery and self-closing mechanisms; remedial repairs to existing fire doorsets; and work on doorsets in compartmentation areas, escape routes, risers, plant rooms and ancillary spaces. The successful contractor must act as principal contractor under CDM regulations, coordinate with the onsite team and project manager, and ensure all work is supervised and inspected to specification.
